5K at goal pace!

I'm currently in the thick of my work's travel season which leaves minimal time for exercising. However, I've been working hard to fit in workouts when I can, and I had an incredible run on Tuesday. I started off with no plan and just took off. When I checked my RunKeeper I was at 2 miles and about 19 minutes - so I decided to push it and try to finish a 5K in under 30 minutes, which was a goal that I had set for my Corporate Cup race in May.

My legs felt fresh, my lungs felt great and I finished in JUST under 30 minutes!

I walked for about a minute at the beginning to warm up so I count it a success!

I am so pumped about this - I'm hoping to keep working on speed in hopes to finish the Vermont Corporate Cup & State Agency Race in under 30 minutes! Now that I have longer runs under my belt I'm getting to the point where I am feeling like 3 miles is easy and something I can attack with more speed.

When you have this as a backdrop, it's not hard to run well!
