track running

Blurry proof.

I ran on the track at work today, which actually was a nice change of pace from running outside. I only did about 20 minutes (forgot my watch...oh well, I just ran as long as I felt like it and called it a day), but I'm heading to Jazzercise tonight, so I'll get another solid burn in later on...

I started running last year about this time on the track with 2 of my colleagues, and it was nice to go back and see how much progress I've made. Last year when I was pounding it out on the track, I certainly never thought I'd have run a 10K and would be be preparing for a half. I'm proud of my body, but most importantly, I'm proud of my mind. Shifting my thought process from "I can't even run 5 minutes" to "I think I want to tackle a half" in a year is pretty impressive in my book!
